Recently, the cryptocurrency market has shown some noteworthy trends. Taking ARKM as an example, after it was listed on the Upbit exchange in March, its price experienced a significant increase. Subsequently, AXL and CYBER also landed on Korean exchanges, displaying a similar price trajectory—sharp rise after listing, followed by a slow decline back to near the initial price point.
Faced with such market fluctuations, many investors may feel the impulse to engage in short-term trading. However, as a long-term holder, I choose to maintain my composure and not be swayed by short-term volatility. Even when seeing a price drop, I do not entertain thoughts of 'regret' or 'missing an opportunity.'
The core of this investment strategy lies in focusing on investment opportunities with higher certainty. While short-term trading may bring quick profits, it also comes with high risks. Once you sell out in pursuit of short-term gains, you may very well miss out on significant long-term profits. After all, no one can predict market trends with 100% accuracy.
It is worth noting that the listing of a cryptocurrency on a large exchange often increases its potential for future appreciation. While this does not guarantee certain success, it at least provides greater space and opportunities for its development. In contrast, those cryptocurrencies that are delisted from large exchanges may not necessarily go to zero, but their development potential is often limited.
When evaluating a cryptocurrency project, horizontal comparison is an effective method. We should focus on the project's actual progress and new initiatives, rather than blindly following market sentiment. Each project has its unique aspects, and it is important to make informed investment decisions based on one's own circumstances and risk tolerance.
Overall, in the highly volatile market of cryptocurrency, maintaining a clear mind and a long-term perspective is crucial. Short-term market fluctuations should not shake our investment beliefs, but rather we should focus more on the fundamentals of the projects and their long-term development potential.
